Paws Playfield Datchworth is an enclosed area totalling 5.5 acres for your EXCLUSIVE USE! A stress free environment for dogs and their owners!
We have an acre of enclosed woodland, 4.5 acres of field containing some fun agility equipment (for dogs only!) and a separate, gated, off road parking area for TWO cars (only) per session.
Paws Playfield is THE place for your dog/s to run, jump and exercise without worry and its yours EXCLUSIVELY!

General Information
The size of Paws Playfield field and adjacent woodland area is approximately 5.5 acres with fencing and natural hedgerows. The far-reaching views of the rolling countryside really give a feeling of space that both you and your dogs can enjoy. Please note that any reference to the field/playfield below, includes the adjacent woodland area (accessed directly from the main playfield).
Your first visit
We may from time to time meet you on your first visit. We advise that you walk the perimeter of the playfield to ensure you are happy the field is safe and secure for your dogs before letting them off the lead. NB - There are horses in the paddocks next to the field so please do not feed them or let your dogs startle them.
Perimeter fencing
Our fences are between 1.2m to 1.5m high with some natural hedgerows behind the lower height fencing. The woodland is fenced to a height of 1.8m on two of the three sides with the side adjacent to the field being 1.2m to 1.5m with natural hedgerows. Please be aware that although we check the space regularly, the countryside is full of wildlife, flora and fauna that can affect the safety of the space and your dogs at any time.
Safety & security
For everyones safety parts of the parking area and playfield are monitored by security cameras. Secure gated access to the field is via numerical key code that is issued during the booking process. The field must only be used during daylight hours and our booking system will reflect these hours accordingly throughout the year.
What to expect
Well, obviously it’s a field & wood. We endeavour to keep our field and its surroundings as natural as possible and plead with you to please do the same. Please care for our field/woodland and the countryside as much as we do. Park and tread respectfully, take your litter and poop bags home and leave the space exactly as you would expect to find it. Pretty please!
Field facilities
There is no lighting in or surrounding the fields or woodland so please do not visit after dark.
There is *water on-site for your dogs, we recommend bringing their own bowl to avoid cross contamination. Please DO NOT leave the tap running. and please do not use the tap to wash your dogs paws or your muddy footwear (the water is metered so we obviously want to avoid unnecessary costs). *During the much colder (frosty) periods we will need to turn the water off due to potential frozen/burst pipework. There are no toilet facilities in the field or woodland nor a shelter to provide cover from the elements.
Naturally, the countryside can get pretty muddy during wet periods. Please ensure you and your dogs are suitably attired and prepared for everything the countryside has to offer when visiting Paws Playfield Datchworth.
